What this show is
Most local television tells viewers what happened. Movers and Shakers tells them what's being built, what's being decided, and who is doing it. Each week, hosts Edward Bevilacqua and John Shewalter sit down with one guest for a substantive, respectful conversation about their work and their vision for Pahrump, Nye County, and rural Nevada.
It is not a debate and not a gotcha show. It's point-counterpoint: we explore the strongest case for your position and the strongest case against it, and we give you time to answer. Viewers should finish the segment knowing who you are and wanting to know more.

How it works
- Tell us you're interested. Thirty seconds, right on this page.
- Complete the short guest form. You'll get it by email right away. It tells us what you're building, what you want viewers to understand, and which Tuesday works.
- Get your prep guide. A few days before we record, you receive the interview themes and logistics. No ambush questions.
- Record and air. We record on a Tuesday morning; the episode airs the following Sunday at 7:00 PM.
When and where we record
Tuesday mornings
Two slots: 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Arrive about ten minutes early. Recording is 20–30 minutes on camera.
Professional studio
Multi-camera setup with broadcast-quality audio. The address and parking details come with your confirmation.
Questions guests ask
Will you ask gotcha questions?
No. You receive the interview themes in advance. We do ask real questions, including the strongest argument against your position, because viewers trust a guest who can answer it.
Does it cost anything to appear?
Not for guests who are not on the ballot. If you are a candidate, KPVM's candidate rules apply; see the next question.
I'm a candidate. Can I appear?
Yes. We invite every candidate in a contested race. Under KPVM's rules, a candidate's segment is either a paid appearance ($100 per episode) or a non-political conversation that stays away from campaign and political issues. We'll walk you through both options before you commit.
What will we talk about?
What you've built or are deciding, your vision for Pahrump and Nye County five to ten years out, the best case against your approach, and what you'd like viewers to do next.
Can I bring photos, video, or materials?
